Boy Scouts Troop 66 of Edison, NJ, chartered by the First Aid Squad No 2 Inc., belongs to the Raritan Valley District of the Patriots’ Path Council. Our Scouts in grades 6 through 12 have been serving the community since early 1950s.
Being one of the largest troops in New Jersey, Troop 66 offers tremendous opportunities in scouting adventures, community participations and to sharpen your life skills. Troop regularly participates in District Camporees, Klondike Derbies, Community events such as Memorial Day Parades, 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, Educational Tours and Summer Camps.Troop 66 has busy activities calendar throughout the year giving ample opportunities to Scouts to pace out the activities and plan their advancements. These activities include traditional camping, backpacking, hiking, fishing, high adventure trips, City hikes, educational & fun trips.
Camping Trips
Every year, camping trips are a great way to experience the outdoors, learn life skills and get away from the bustle for a weekend!
Hikes
Hikes year around allow for a smaller experience deep in nature and a way to get some exercises in hiking and enjoy.
Water trips
Trips including Fishing trips as well as outings to lakes with canoeing and kayaking let scouts explore the water too.
Summer camp
Summer camp is a great way for scouts to learn many skills through merit badges and gain comfortably within the troop!
Troop Meetings and Courts of Honor
On most Tuesdays at 7:30 PM. Please check the calendar for the location. John Adams Middle School (1081 New Dover Road, Edison NJ) is our main location, but we also may have meetings at the Edison First Aid Squad No. 2 (848 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ) or James Madison Primary School (840 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ).
Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) Meetings
The second Monday of every month at 7:30PM at the Edison First Aid Squad 2 (848 New Dover Road, Edison NJ).
Committee Meetings
The third Monday of every month at 7:30PM at the Edison First Aid Squad 2 (848 new Dover Road, Edison, NJ). Committee Meetings are for every Parent and Adult Leader. Please attend and provide your suggestions.
District Round-tables
District round table conference is held on first Wednesday of every month at 7:30PM at the St. Luke’s, Metuchen, NJ.
